"Children of the Sun" By Maxim Gorky, in a new version by Andrew Upton.
This dress was inspired by a 1906-1908 gown by Jeanne Paquin located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and patterned using a few different elements from Janet Arnold's "Patterns of Fashion"
This dress is quite possibly my favorite thing I have built. Between the patterning, sewing, fitting, and beadwork, well over 100 hours went into this dress.
