"Nora: A Doll's House" by Stef Smith

All the characters had to be reflected in 1918, 1968, and 2018, so color was incorporated to distinguish each character through the decades, with Nora's color being purple.

I drafted and stitched the 1918 Nora dress using Janet Arnold's "Patterns of Fashion 2" (Diagram 67). The purple satin is flatlined with black cotton for stability. A full mockup was done beforehand in white chiffon to get the drape (bodice shown in picture, and the skirt was pinned to it during the fitting to get the waist at the correct spot.)

I also patterned the 1968 Nora ensemble (vest and wrap skirt) using a basic block.
